IHOP, Albany, New York
Under the trademark blue, earnest awning, an IHOP offered its tempatations next door to our hotel.
This is the weather I think we would have preferred for the wedding.

Disco-lit Midnight Garage Sale on North 11th Street
Somewhere betweeen a thrift sale and performance piece, this midnight storefront appeared to be a spirit conjured from early-to-mid 2000's vanguard artist-inhabited Williamsburg. Was I hallucinating? Was I having an authentic experience?
I'd been pedaling home after a run in McCarren Park when slowly changing disco lights caught my eye. A garage sale around midnight on a Friday is curious enough an affair without disco lights. As it was too bizarre to avoid, I stopped to learn more.

Asian Garden Now Open for Business
As I exited the turnpike into Carlislie, Pennsylvania, I saw red spray painted scrawls heralding the opening of Asian Garden, an evidently Asian restaurant.
The restaurant sits adjacent to a still-abandonded gas station. It's not easy to distinguish which is open and which is not. Perhaps in an effort to clarify, a white plywood sign angled "ASIAN GARDEN OPEN" toward the exit ramp. Two walls at the rear of the building carried the same message.
