To Where?

Tuesday, December 13 2011

I'm coming out of the Carnegie Museum of Art, looking at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History.

I see a portal entry thing and I assume there is a time travel device at the end of that hall.

I'm hauling a portable lighting rig to the Upper West Side today for a shoot. Long opposed to taking taxis because, I don't know, I think they're for lazy people who don't want to walk or bike, I've been debating my position.

Later that day we walked an entire 6 blocks to the Music Hall of Williamsburg to see Royksopp and we could not help but to continue gyrating.

I clipped and dried a few dozen mostly out of pride in August 2005 and, after learning that October wind would carry them from my porch, kept the remaining flowers in the attic. They were the one thing I wanted to bring along to Lawrenceville from the previous place in Oakland. But they couldn't come with me to NYC.

Pre-Purge Dissection of Print

Wednesday, December 2 2009

I've been saying goodbye to the issues of a previous life. I'm not sure how many magazines I acquired during the mid 00's, but it was a period of mass consumption in which I tolerated the idea of buying a $28 copy of Eye four times per year. Those magazines, a perennial source of inspiration, will of course be traveling with me. Most of the rest will have to be disposed of, likely recycled.

Having wrapped performances on From the Margins and taken in my fill of NYC life and stress, I drove over to debrief the grandparents on the goings-on in the Big Apple. Pap then broke out a work-in-progress book about the family history by a relative. The Peghers (my mother's side) appear to go back some 500 years.
