I just got my 70-200. I did not want to wait for my car repairs at Pep Boys. I'm walked down the hill, back home, and waited there.
In the second shot here, the man entering the house was doing so against the orders of the woman at the bottom of the steps. She's shouting to him that she's going to call the cops and send him back to jail while grabbing her kid. He'd just slapped her around while holding a fistful of her hair.
Pointing the 70-200 (with bayonet shade) lens as big as my forearm at the guy, making it clear that I was photographing this interaction, didn't slow him down.
All I could do was watch as they went inside.
