I traveled to the track. Empty benches here too. And nobody out on the field or the track. The storm shadow here shows wind blowing from the west. A heap of discarded Christmas trees waits to be mulched. The now-looted field light that fell during Sandy still remains. The snow started to fall around 2pm here. A musician makes his way across the street from my practice space. Two workers begin to bike away from the waterfront. Apparently, predictably, traction isn't so good in the snow. Hipster beach was getting a light dusting. Clever seagulls formed a stationary V formation on the ground to break the wind. The East River choppy from the wind. A shrine on the shore.
