This smallish camera should let me take more photos more often. I think this is a good thing.
It'll take me a while to get the hang of the thing. It's not as complex as my dSLR (which is to say it lacks easily accessible aperture, ISO and shutter speed controls) and doesn't have the wide dynamic range. But it's way smaller; people aren't so intimidated by it. And it seems they're not irritated by it as much as they are when an iPhone is aiming their way. Maybe they don't think it's going right to the Instagram without their consent.
So now I have to learn how to shoot in the limitations of the RX100mii. This should be fun. This afternoon I'm taking hokey photos in Greenpoint to get a feel for what it can do. Apologies in advance, friends.
