Gratuituous Fall Snapshots from McCarren Park

At times, when this one parks worker was blowing leaves over patches of dried-out lawn towards the asphalt path, the stirred-up dust in the air caught the bright beam of daylight and made for a beautiful sight. I couldn't get an image to show this. After I first saw that moment, neither the light or the clouds would coordinate their efforst to make it happen again. So here are some photos with some pretty colors.

There were a number of workers in the park today, cleaning up garbage and leaves. My guess is that this is because of the NYC Marathon tomorrow. Tens of thousands of people will be running up Bedford and through this area. There will likely be few supporters staking out spaces in the park as well.
