I'm fascinated by the social abrasions of individuals and environments. I gain perspective through peripatetic reconnoitering which you'll find loosely chronicled in this site's Blogski. Photography is a means of documenting and writing an attempt at making sense of what I see.
I bring an exploratory, reflective, people-first point of view to creating images for documentary, reportage, environmental portraiture, advertising, lifestyle, events, and the occasional wedding. In addition to being a photographer, I'm a musician, designer, archivist, and developer. I designed and built this site, which runs on Drupal and is hosted on Hetzner.
I'm from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I lived in New York City from 2009 to 2021, the entirety of that in Brooklyn. I've spent spells in Tottori, Japan and Milan, Italy. I'm married to illustrator Alessandra Aozora. We are currently living in and based out of my hometown.
