A rare bit of privacy in a pubilc locker room.
There's a point in the year where this locker room is empty for most of the evening. It's when the weather outside has become nice enough, but not yet too hot, to play basketball in the courts next to the main rec center building. This keeps the kids outside. I can be here totally alone for a minute before and after a swim. I don't have to worry about teenagers getting weird and cracking jokes, which is too often the case, about the fact that I'm changing in to or out of my suit. They don't seem to do that to the elderly dudes from the West Indies.
I spend so much time in this room. Everything appears to be from decades ago, but maintained to the best that abilities and budgets allow. I don't know if people know it's like this. It's a private corner of public infrastructure, something few people see. I had to get a picture of it.
