Highway Sights on the Road to Pittsburgh, August 2010

I'm on my way back to Pittsburgh to meet up with my family and head to my favorite cousin's wedding in Marietta, Ohio. There's not much to see or say on this trip. But I will find things anyway.

I like the conflict of tungsten lamps against evening's blue hues, the spark in little red tail lights just coming on as the truckers prepare for more driving. I like the little shop's little fluorescent light against the subsuming, surrounding darkness. It looks like perserverence in spite of isolation – pretty much what driving 400 miles by yourself is.
