Sights in Midtown on St. Patrick's Day (Observed)
March 17, 2017
To see a lawyer with questions about a citizen marrying an out-of-status immigrant, Alessandra and I had to travel to and through midtown Manhattan this afternoon.
I forgot this was the high holy day of the spiritual quest to become blackout drunk to honor a long-dead Irish snake charmer and that the pilgrims convened in this area.
I almost wish I could stay longer to document the inanity that I saw in every direction to snark at the participants, but I remembered I had participated in similar activities in Pittsburgh in my youth, would prefer to distance myself from continued recollection, and had better things to do back in Brooklyn.
