When the weather shifts to colder temperatures and the skies become darker earlier, it makes me, like everybody else, want to eat comfort food. Around this time two years ago, I was wandering through Japan. Everything I was eating seemed seasonally appropriate to me. Thusly, I've come to associate all Japanese food with fall.
Because it's fall and it was raining and cold in New York City tonight, ramen was what I wanted. I'd rather be back in Japan, aimlessly exploring again, but this bowl of soup will give the fix I need.
