Breaking in the New Strobe Lights

I've purchased a set of Einstein strobes for use in studio work. They're not high-end like Profoto of Elinchrom, but they are rated better in terms of power output and sync times and bang for buck. And these lights are designed with some expectation of mobility in mind. They can be powered by battery packs – inexpensive ones – so I'm hoping to use them on location shoots.

Can I use them on gigs where outlets are far from shoot locations? Can I take them into the wild, into the woods? Can I mount a strobe with umbrella to a stand strapped to backpack and hoof around town with the thing wirelessly synced to my camera? It's yet to be seen.

I've read there's a benefit to letting the bulbs have some time to break in, starting from the lowest power setting and going up, since this helps with bulb longevity. The modeling lamps give off such a warm, comforting glow, which is what I'm trying to show here.
